The Lahti U19 World Championships will be held from 8th to 12th May 2024 in the Lahti Sports and Fair Center. In addition to top matches, there are also many other activities and daily changing programs from School Day to Family Day and from Sport Club Day to the 3v3 World Championships.
The U19 World Championships in Lahti welcome a total of 16 teams from around the world. The preliminary round matches will be contested from Wednesday to Friday. Over the weekend, the semifinal matches and the culminating medal matches will be played, determining the new youth world champion. See the tournament schedule here.
DAILY ACTIVITIES
WED 8.5. SCHOOL DAY AND OPENING CEREMONY
The opening day and atmosphere will be full of joy as children and youth from the Lahti area get to cheer on teams from around the world. In addition to School Day, there will be a 3v3 tournament between university students and the opening ceremony of the U19 World Championships before the match of Team Finland.

THU 9.5. FAMILY DAY
Family Day is organized in collaboration with the Lahti branch of MLL . The program runs outdoors from 11 AM to 3 PM and is free for all. Activities include SäbäkipinäSirkus, MLL face painting, fan banner crafting, outdoor rinks and games, and a PAW Patrol Meet ‘n’ Greet.

FRI 10.5. NATIONAL CLUB DAY
The event focuses on networking, information, and top-level floorball. Club mascots are also welcome. The Club Day culminates in panel discussions covering floorball in Finland, internationalization, and coaching development, held before the Finland-Norway match in the evening.

SAT 11.5. 3V3 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
The first ever 3v3 World Championships take place alongside the U19 World Championships in Lahti. The tournament brings together teams from around the world, with matches played in both women’s and men’s categories.

SUN 12.5. THE FINALS
The U19 World Championships conclude with the medal matches and celebrations – both for the U19 women’s teams and the 3v3 World Championships. In honor of Mother’s Day, Laitex Oy provides roses to all mothers.
